Dear Old Whaling Co Friends and Family,

First, I’d like to start off by saying I hope you and your loved ones are healthy and safe. It’s no secret that 2020 is not business as usual. It’s not life as usual. Everything we know about anything has been completely turned upside down.

Never in a million years at the start of this new decade did I imagine I would be finding myself homeschooling children, making the call to lay off 22 people (all of whom were called back thanks to you!), or closing the doors to our retail stores for three months this spring.

I think putting so many expectations on the new year and start of the new decade only compounded the shock of everything that happened as the year unfolded. In these tough times we learned to pivot, stay humble, be strategic, forecast, and fight hard to stay in business.

We are so grateful to each and every one of you for your love and support this year and throughout the years. Despite the unprecedented challenges of 2020, we’re blessed to have the opportunity to continue serving our many customers and retailers across the country.

We have been extremely busy prepping our stores and website for our biggest Black Friday & Small Business Saturday sale ever. We will be taking a small break Thanksgiving Day to spend the day with loved ones, then we’re off and running full speed ahead towards the holidays.

If you choose to shop in store, please know we’re taking safety measures to ensure a safe experience. Our team wears masks and we require all customers to wear masks. We’re limiting the number of people in store depending on location. Hand sanitizer is available and stores are fogged weekly using ultrasonic dry fog technology, which kills viruses and germs on contact.

If you choose to order online, we will be working as quickly as we can to get it fulfilled and to your door in a timely manner! To make gift giving as simple as possible we have arranged some premade holiday gifts boxes you can ship to loved ones with one click. Please know your order will be packed with love and a grateful heart.

Thanksgiving likely looks different for many of us this year. However you choose to celebrate, I hope you have a lovely Thanksgiving and enjoy a day of peace and rest, and the coming holiday season brings you and all your loved ones good health, comfort, peace and happiness.

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Old Whaling Co!

Warmly,
April and family
