Our products feature carefully curated ingredients designed to offer the best possible self-care experience. We handcraft every formula to be gentle, nourishing, and suitable for all skin types—always mineral oil-free, paraben-free, and phthalate-free.

Bar Soap Ingredients

All of our handcrafted bar soaps contain the following base ingredients:

  • Olive Oil (olea europaea)
  • Coconut Oil (cocos mucifera)
  • Organic Soybean Oil (glycine soja)
  • Distilled Water
  • Lye (sodium hydroxide)
  • Fragrance (except Knot Scented)

Bath Bomb Ingredients

All of our sea-inspired Bath Bombs are handmade using the following base ingredients:

  • Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate)
  • Citric Acid
  • Organic Soybean Oil
  • Olive Oil
  • Fragrance (except Knot Scented)
  • Epsom Salt
  • Polysorbate 80
  • Distilled Water

Note on Tub and Towel Care:

Our bath bombs are richly pigmented for a vibrant and fun bath experience! While the color usually rinses away easily, it may cling to the tub surface due to the natural oils in the product. If any color remains, we recommend gently wiping the area with a bit of castor oil on a tissue or soft cloth—oil helps lift away color more effectively than water-based cleaners. Just be sure to follow up by washing the area with soap and water to avoid any slipperiness from the oil.

For best results, we advise using our bath bombs in clean, sealed tubs with sealed grouts. Older or unsealed tubs may be more prone to staining. And please avoid using your favorite towels - due to the concentrated pigments, staining can occur.

Body Butter Ingredients

All of our Body Butters are color free and made with the following ingredients:

  • Water
  • Cetearyl Alcohol - made of vegetable derived fatty acids, thickener, emulsifier
  • Isopropyl Myristate- naturally occurring fatty acid and emollient, skin conditioning
  • Stearic Acid - kosher grade, vegetable source, thickener and emulsion stabilizer (binds oil with water)
  • Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride - a moisturizer made from fraction of palm and coconut oils and stabilizer, great for sensitive skin
  • Ceteareth-20 - an  emulsifier
  • Glyceryl Stearate - an emulsifier
  • Fragrance (except Knot Scented)
  • Shea Butter (Butyrospermum Parkii)
  • Dimethicone - a silicone-based polymer
  • Organic Sunflower Oil (Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil)
  • DMDM Hydantoin - antimicrobial
  • Organic Aloe Vera (Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice)
  • Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate - a preservative and antifungal that prevents product from spoiling and growing bacteria

Candle Ingredients

Our hand-poured candles are made from our premium soy wax and olive wax blend with our sea-inspired fragrances. This blend of soy wax and olive wax creates a cleaner and longer burn time so you can enjoy your favorite Old Whaling Company candle longer!
