Voting for Post & Couriers 'Charlestons Choice' has come to an end, and we're happy to share we've won the title of "Best Accessories Store." We want to start off by saying thank you to everyone in Charleston who voted for our flagship store on King Street. We won last year in the category of "Best Gift Store," so continuing the momentum this year in a different category is a super special surprise. Since opening our first retail store in West Ashley around ten years ago, we've carried an array of trendy and unique accessories for travel to jewelry, bandanas, trinket dishes, custom totes and t-shirts, bag charms, and more.
Popular Accessories in Our Shop
St. Armands Jewelry
Over the years we've kept some of the same retailers in our stores while adding new companies and styles that complement our coastal brand. We have always loved St. Armands jewelry, a resort inspired, lightweight brand of earrings that fits in well with our sea-inspired scents and collections. We carry everything from their freshwater pearl sunburst studs, to acrylic palm drops in multiple colors.
Grit & Grace
Charleston-based Grit & Grace is a unique maker of multi-purpose oyster dishes that we've carried for a long time. These oyster dishes have multiple uses from holding your jewelry to a cooking spoon in the kitchen. You can shop the gold oyster dish (shown above) on our site or explore over 5 different patterns inside our King Street retail store. This brand is special because each oyster purchase helps to recycle 10 oysters to repopulate the local oyster beds.
Erin Flett
Erin Flett is a popular retailer in our shop! You can never have enough cosmetic bags for organization, and these are specifically special because they're made with raw cotton grown here in South Carolina. The feel is a really soft durable cotton that's easy to clean. You can use them to hold makeup or wear as a clutch, making them super versatile.
Market & King
Statement necklaces are on trend in Charleston, and Market & King's candy necklaces are a big hit in our shop. Made with heavy gemstones and a gold plated clasp at an affordable price point, a lot of our customers love to stack Market & King with their own jewelry collection. We recommend attaching a pendant to the clasp and wearing in the front for a different look.
ESW Beauty
One of our favorite parts of our retail shop is finding fun accessories and beauty products that pair perfectly with our self-care collections. E.S.W. Beauty is a favorite for its clean skincare formulas and colorful, playful packaging that looks right at home alongside our bath and body products. We currently carry their face masks and sets, eye patches, and lip treatments. We try to carry products that make it easy to build a thoughtful routine or put together a fun gift!
Carolina Bands
Carolina Bands Co. is a newer retailer in our shop that is local to Charleston! We love the range of colors and the functionality of a hair-tie that's stylish enough to be worn as a bracelet. They make an easy gift for anyone who always seems to need a hair tie, whether you’re shopping for a friend, coworker, family member, or just want to pick up something fun for yourself.
Bath Accessories
The right accessories can make your bath or shower routine feel a little more special while helping you get the most out of your favorite products. In our shop, you’ll find bath accessories like facial and body silk sea sponges, dry brushes, exfoliating mitts, soap pouches, and soap dishes that pair perfectly with our handmade bar soaps. Add a soap pouch or dish to a bar of soap to create an easy, thoughtful gift, or pick out a few accessories to build a complete self-care routine.
Old Whaling Co. Accessories
We've added some of our own branded accessories to our retail store over the past few years! Texture Design Co. lended her creative hand to designing our canvas tote bag with royal blue nautical elements. Our Fansea™ matches were illustrated by none other than our founders third oldest child, who just graduated from high school! The design is adventurous and nautical and makes the perfect keepsake while complementing your favorite candle.
